CITY of PLEASANTON
Planning Commission
SPECIAL
MINUTES ~OF F~F~t~~#t MEETING.
DGfie : June 23, 1976
Time : 5 :15
PIGCe: Pleasanton Council Chambers
Chairman Butler asked the applicant
what kind of lighting he provides
for the lot at night. Mr. Medeiros
replied that he has two mercury
lights and two flood lights in the
lot.
Commissioner Wood stated that he
believed that the Commission had
established a precedent disallowing
this sort of use.
Mr. Medeiros confirmed the problem
of the young people visiting in his
lot. At one time he had discussed
this matter with the City Attorney's
office, Mayor Philcox and the Police
Department but nothing definite was
decided on. Mr. Medeiros feels that
he has done a good job of trying to
work with the young people. He was
not worried about vandalism to the
ice machine. He indicated that no
vandalism has occurred to the ice
machine he presently maintains in
the lot which is flush with the main
building.
In answer to a query from Commission
Shepherd, Mr. Medeiros indicated the
reasons he is putting the box in the
parking lot is because he has no roo
in his shop to store the large quan-
tities of ice he sells.
Mr. Medeiros asked how much time he
would be allowed to replace a certain
amount of sidewalk, curb and gutter
required by Condition 6. Mr. Sooby
indicated that an agreement could be
drawn up with the City Attorney's
office allowing him between six mono
and a year to take care of this con-
dition.
!r
~s
-2-
