Plannin <br />9 C®mmission <br />..9 ~~~ <br /> ~~~ <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEET ING. ~~` ~ s~ ~~ <br />DGte ; July 14 , 1976 <br />Time : s:22 P.M. <br /> <br />Ploce: Pleasanton Council Chambers <br />REQUEST FOR <br />HOME OCCUPATION <br />PERMIT <br />Continued to next <br />regular meeting <br />A resolution approving this home <br />,occupation request was entered and <br />adopted, with Commissioner Wood <br />voting against it, because he did <br />root feel this type of business <br />should be conducted from a residen- <br />tial area. <br />AP-76-9, Betty Navarette - appeal to <br />the decision of the Zoning Admini- <br />strator denying a request to conduct <br />a janitorial service from a residenc <br />at 1546 Calle Santiage. <br />A motion was entered and adopted <br />continuing this item because the <br />.applicant was not present. <br />Review of ordinance amendment to <br />allow a car wash as a conditional use <br />in the C-C (Central Commercial) Dis- <br />trict. <br />Staff is against this request, which <br />was proposed by Mr. Mark Gerton for <br />a Mr. Frank Louthan, Jr. <br />Mr. Gerton was at the hearing and <br />explained the operation. <br />However, the Planning Commission fel <br />that in order to retain the heritage <br />theme in the downtown area, they <br />would not be willing to initiate an <br />ordinance amendment to allow car <br />washes in the C-C District. <br />In line with staff's recommendation <br />in the last paragraph of the staff <br />report, they adopted a motion to <br />initiate an ordinance amendment to <br />conditionally allow auto washing <br />including use of mechanical conveyors <br />blowers and steam cleaners in the C-S <br />-9- <br /> <br />
