'"'"'°° CITY of PLEASANTON <br />"" - Planning Commission <br />Go <br />~~~ ~ °° <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING. ~` o~ ~ <br />Date July 14 , 19 7 6 <br />Time : 8:22 P.M. <br />PIOCe; Pleasanton Council Chambers <br />forced to back out onto Stanley <br />Boulevard. <br />The Public Hearing was opened. <br />Mr. Bill Hirst, attorney for the <br />applicants, Al Bernard and Mike <br />Garden spoke. He explained the <br />,problems encountered by his clients <br />'and requested approval of the re- <br />quest. They would be willing to <br />abide by any conditions the Com- <br />mission deemed advisable to attach, <br />provided they were able to conduct <br />their business in a reasonable <br />fashion. <br />Present at the hearing also were <br />George Garibaldi and Dan Pons, resi- <br />dents on Vervais Avenue and their <br />attorney, Lee Amaral. <br />Mr. Amaral cited numerous problems <br />experienced by the residents on <br />Vervais Avenue ranging from cars <br />parked on the street and blocking <br />access to their driveways, working <br />at night, spray painting of cars <br />with resultant fumes extending past <br />the boundaries of the site, and <br />additional aggravation caused by the <br />muffler shop now operating from this <br />site and deliveries of equipment, etc <br />Mr. Amaral suggested conditions whic <br />the Commissioners could consider <br />should they see fit to grant this <br />request. <br />Speaking in further opposition was <br />Dan Pons, 4242 Vervais. He doubted <br />that the City would be able to con- <br />trol the situation if access to <br />Vervais Avenue were granted.
