Minor Revisions to the Home Occupation Ordinance. <br />Secretary Harris explained that this case was reviewed by the City Council <br />on November 8, 1976, and they agreed with it except as it pertained to <br />production of minor arts and crafts items. The City Council felt these <br />occupations should be exempt. A revised draft ordinance incorporating <br />these changes was presented. Staff stated they had no problems with these <br />revisions. <br />Resolution No. 1478 was entered and adopted accepting the minor revisions <br />to the Home Occupation Ordinance as proposed by City Council on November 8, <br />1976. <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Resolution: Doherty <br />Seconded: Shepherd <br />Ayes: Doherty, Jamieson, <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler <br />Revision to the conditional use permit granted for Casa Verde Nursery and <br />Thomas Richert at 5515 Sunol Boulevard to add a 10 ft. x 10 ft. wood and <br />glass structure as an office. <br />The staff report was described and photographs of the proposed structure <br />were distributed for the Commissioners review. <br />Mr. Richert of 6384 Alvord Way, was present to answer questions. He indi- <br />cated he would use cedar shake siding on the structure with asphalt coating <br />roof top . <br />The Commissioners had no objection to this request and adopted Resolution <br />No. 1479 approving this modification to UP-76-28 subject to staff conditions. <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Resolution: Wood <br />Seconded: Shepherd <br />Ayes: Doherty, Jamieson, <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler <br />Design and location of BART bus shelters and bus benches. <br />Photographs of the shelter were presented. Staff is recommending two bus <br />stops- 1) at First and Neal and 2) at Hopyard and West Las Positas Boule- <br />vard. A third shelter is being made available by BART and the Planning <br />Commission may want to recommend a location for it. <br />Commissioner Wood felt consideration should be given to stops which have <br />heavy participation. Commissioner Shepherd stated that priority should <br />be given to those users who have to walk to the stop, rather than commuters, <br />who can wait in their cars in inclement weather. <br />The Commissioners' first choice should be a stop at First <br />Staff advised that there is no room to locate the shelter <br />cussion ensued regarding obtaining approval from the Shell <br />owner to utilize a small portion of their property. <br />-7- <br /> <br />and Vineyard. <br />and some dis- <br />service station <br />
