Some of these included traffic and other public <br />safety problems. The ordinance did not define this type of use clearly, <br />and in order to obtain better control on these types of developments, the <br />Council felt that the best way to attain this would be to revise the ordi- <br />nance. <br />Commissioner Wood did not agree with this proposal, as he felt that one type <br />of store should not be singled out. <br />The Public Hearing was opened. <br />Mr. Brad Hirst, 2456 Minivet, spoke. He encouraged the Commissioners to take <br />this review one step further to consider prepared or packaged foods, and <br />whether or not it is prepared on or off-site. Perhaps some definition per- <br />taining to this should be added. Also, what consideration should be given <br />to an existing real estate office in a given building goes out and a <br />convenience store wishes to locate there. V1hat kinds of controls would be <br />needed.
