The Public Hearing was opened, no one spoke, and the Public Hearing was <br />closed. <br />The Commisisoners then adopted Resolution No. 1492 recommending to the City <br />Council adoption of an ordinance amendment to Sec. 2-5.04 of Article 1, <br />Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code which would clarify which projects <br />are subject to the zoning laws of the City and to urge that those agencies <br />not subject to the zoning laws submit their proposed projects to the City <br />through the regular permit and review procedures. <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Resolution: Jamieson <br />Seconded: Shepherd <br />Ayes: Jamieson, Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Doherty <br />Abstain: None <br />MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW <br />Review of request to allow watchmen's living quarters in_ the C~S_ w.(Commercial <br />service) District. ~~____~_~~ ~ ~ ~~~~ <br />Secretary Harris reviewed his staff report, concluding that staff would <br />endorse such an ordinance amendment on a conditional use permit basis. <br />Deputy City Attorney Levine noted that the School District already does <br />this. <br />Resolution No. 1493 was entered and adopted recommending that the City <br />Council approve an amendment to the ordinance code to conditionally allow <br />watchmen's quarters in the C-S (Commercial Service) District. <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Resolution: Shepherd <br />Seconded: Wood <br />Ayes: Jamieson, Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Doherty <br />Abstain: None <br />Review of language for City's policy on public buildings. <br />As noted in the staff report, this matter had been discussed at the January <br />12, 1977 meeting, when the Commissioners felt some additional work on the <br />word phrasing should be done. <br />Chairman Butler emphasized that it was the Commissioners' intent to not <br />have a policy for public buildings which is iron-clad. <br />A motion was entered and adopted accepting the wording contained in the <br />second paragraph of the February 9, 1977 staff report, and so recommending <br />said wording to the City Council. <br />-6- <br /> <br />
