The Public Hearing was opened. Mr. Jack Bras spoke for the applicant. He explained the sewer priority list, as he understood it. He had no problems with the conditions f_or approval. Chairman Butler indicated the public hearing was now open for comments on the negative declaration for this project. No one spoke and the Public Hearing was closed. Resolution No. 1497 was entered and unanimously adopted making the finding that this project could not have significant adverse effects on the environ- ment and that the City Council make the determination that a negative declaration be prepared for the project. Mr. Bras, having spoken earlier, did not make any comments at this time. The Public Hearing was closed. Resolution No. 1498 was entered and adopted recommending to the City Council adoption of the proposal. Roll Call Vote Resolution: Doherty Seconded: Shepherd Ayes: Doherty, Jamieson, Noes: None Absent: None Abstain: None Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler GP-77-1, City of Pleasanton - application for an amendment to the General Plan which would change the land use designation of an approximately 51-ac. area located immediately south of the Arroyo Mocho and east of Martin Avenue (if extended northward to the Arroyo Mocho) from "Sand and Gravel Harvesting" to "Medium Density Residential" use. Secretary Harris stated that the property is currently in the County adjacent to an area which will ultimately be used for sand and gravel harvesting, but is not part of the reclamation plan prepared by the sand and gravel industry, because of its unuseability for sand and gravel harvesting. He explained that because the land is not good harvesting land, it should have been shown on the General Plan as medium density residential, rather than sand and gravel harvesting land. -3-
