RZ-77-5, Planning Commission - application for an amendment to Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to create new com- mercial use categories and to make such uses permitted uses in various zoning districts. The staff report was explained by Secretary Harris. The Public Hearing was opened. Mr. Bill Hirst, attorney, 147 Bernal Avenue, spoke. He urged the Commission to recommend approval of this ordinance amendment. The Public Hearing was closed. Resolution No. 1529 was entered and adopted recommending to City Council the adoption of the ordinance amendment as noted in the draft ordinance attached to RZ-77-5. Discussion ensued regarding the map itself, and the conditions of approval staff recommended be adopted. Present to speak in favor of the application were Morrison Homes' represen- tative, Dudley Frost and Rod Andrade, engineer from MacKay & Somps, who prepared the map. They expressed no objections to the staff recommendations. -5-
