One other service to be provided would be a certified Red Cross first aid <br />attendant on the premises at all times. <br />Commissioner Jamieson asked Deputy City Attorney about a "hold harmless" <br />clause or some provision which would absolve the City from any possible <br />liability. Mr. Levine replied that a condition could be attached to that <br />effect. Mr. Lawrence stated he believed his policy included such a clause <br />to the landlord and he thought it could also cover the City. <br />Commissioner Jamieson asked about provision of a demolition requirement to <br />safeguard the City should the park ever close down. Mr. Lawrence stated <br />that he is securing a $25,000 bond with the landlord to this effect. <br />The Public Hearing was closed on the conditional use review. <br />The Commissioners felt certain modifications should be made to the staff <br />recommendations. Commissioner Wood proposed that Condition #10 should be <br />amended to require the developer to provide a theft-proof bike rack on the <br />property; a condition requiring a hold harmless clause protecting the City <br />be added; and that Condition #4 be revised as noted above.
