Chairman Butler thanked the property owners on Stanley Boulevard for <br />sharing their comments with them. <br />Conformity with the General Plan - purchase by the City of the approxi- <br />mately 14-acre parcel of vacant land located between Val Vista and <br />the Valley Community Services District Sewage Treatment Plant. <br />Councilmember Mercer explained why the City Council feels it might be <br />advantageous to the City to purchase this property which is adjacent <br />to the VCSD sewage treatment plant and which is zoned Public and In- <br />stitutional. <br />The Commissioners concurred, after reviewing his comments and the staff <br />report, and adopted Resolution 1566 making the finding that the subject <br />property is in conformity with the General Plan. <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Resolution: Jamieson <br />Seconded: Wood <br />Ayes: Doherty, Jamieson, Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />TENTATIVE SUBDIVISION MAPS <br />Review of Tentative Tract #3897 - Page Binkley. <br />Secretary Harris recommended approval subject to the conditions in the <br />staff report. <br />Next, Deputy City Attorney Levine outlined the findings which must be <br />made for approving a tentative tract map. <br />Mr. Binkley was present and stated that he had worked with Mr. Walt <br />Schaumburg of the Engineering staff on the meandering sidewalk. They <br />show a 10 ft. sidewalk and would want this to go completely along Black <br />Avenue and Hopyard Roads.
