Secretary Harris presented a landscaping rendering adopted by the <br />Design Review Board on August 10, 1977. The site plan in conjunction <br />with the conditional use permit is essentially the same. as approved by <br />the Design Review Board. The staff feels the subject site is appropriate <br />for a church considering the conditions attached by that Board, Recom~ <br />mendation is for approval. <br />The Public Hearing was opened. <br />Mr. Lou Helgeson of the Church Building Committee was present to speak for <br />the application. He accepted the conditions and stood ready to answer <br />any questions. <br />The Public Hearing was closed. <br />Resolution No. 1587 was entered and adopted approving the application <br />subject to the required findings and conditions. <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Resolution: Wood <br />Seconded: Doherty <br />Ayes: Doherty, Jamieson, Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Compliments were extended to the proponents by the Commission on the <br />attractive development. <br />GP-77-5, Lee Slaughter <br />Review of a negative declaration for a project which would change the <br />land use designation of property along the west side of S.P.R.R., at the <br />intersection of Santa Rita Road near Sutter Gate Avenue. <br />Secretary Harris described the location and shape of the property in <br />question. The staff has grave concerns about the property going industrial, <br />fearing the remainder of the area going industrial as well. Denial is <br />being recommended. <br />The Public Hearing was opened on the negative declaration. <br />Mr. Jack Corley, attorney with offices on Division Street, was present <br />to speak on the application. He had no comments regarding this phase of <br />the review. <br />The Public Hearing was closed. <br />Resolution No. 1588 was entered and adopted making the finding that the <br />project would not have a significant impact on the environment and that <br />a negative declaration would be filed. <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Resolution: Jamieson <br />Seconded: Wood <br />Ayes: Doherty, Jamieson, Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />-9- <br />
