The concept for the expansions was <br />reviewed by the Council in October. The design was not entered into, <br />however. More than required amount of parking will be provided. Staff <br />recommendation is for approval. <br />The Public Hearing was opened on the negative declaration. <br />There were no comments and the Public Hearing was closed. <br />Resolution No. 1591 was entered and adopted making the finding that the <br />project would not have a significant effect on the environment and that <br />a negative declaration would be prepared. <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Resolution: Shepherd <br />Seconded: Jamieson <br />Ayes: Doherty, Jamieson, <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler <br />The Public Hearing was opened on the design phase.. <br />Application for design review approval to enlarge the existing Civic <br />Center at 200 Bernal Avenue, by the addition of office space and a meeting <br />room/Council Chamber and the City Attorney's offices. <br />Mr. Jack Bras, architect, was present and told the Commissioners that <br />the Community Meeting Room could accommodate 108 seats, with 32 people <br />standing. <br />The Public Hearing was closed on the design review. <br />Resolution No. 1592 was entered and adopted approving the design plans <br />for the Civic Center anticipated expansion, subject to the conditions in <br />the staff report. <br />-11- <br />
