Resolution Y1o. 1590 was entered and adopted approving UP-77-19 with the required findings and conditions. Secretary Harris explained the reason the matter is before the Commission is because the property is located in the Civic Overlay District, which requires full Commission review. The concept for the expansions was reviewed by the Council in October. The design was not entered into, however. More than required amount of parking will be provided. Staff recommendation is for approval. The Public Hearing was opened on the negative declaration. There were no comments and the Public Hearing was closed. Resolution No. 1591 was entered and adopted making the finding that the project would not have a significant effect on the environment and that a negative declaration would be prepared. Application for design review approval to enlarge the existing Civic Center at 200 Bernal Avenue, by the addition of office space and a meeting room/Council Chamber and the City Attorney's offices. Mr. Jack Bras, architect, was present and told the Commissioners that the Community Meeting Room could accommodate 108 seats, with 32 people standing. The Public Hearing was closed on the design review. Resolution No. 1592 was entered and adopted approving the design plans for the Civic Center anticipated expansion, subject to the conditions in the staff report. -11-
