and conditional uses in all of the commercially zoned districts of the City <br />of Pleasanton. <br />Because of the importance and significance of this amendment, Secretary <br />Harris requested that the public hearing be opened and continued until <br />February 8, 1978, allowing time for as much public input as possible. <br />Wally Wallner, 654 Park Hill Road, Danville, spoke. He is owner of C-F <br />zoned property and asked consideration for establishing convenience markets <br />in that district. He then requested that thought be given to allowing <br />drive-in or express drive-through windows for restaurants in the C-F <br />District. He felt the use could be controlled with a conditional use <br />permit. <br />Commissioner Wood asked that staff clearly identify the categories being <br />suggested for changes. <br />The item was then continued to the February 8, 1978, meeting. <br />RZ-77-23, Planning Commission - application for an amendment to Article 16, <br />Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton which <br />would modify the off-street parking requirements for medical and dental <br />offices and other health facilities. <br />The background of the proposed amendment, and the wording itself, was <br />reviewed by Secretary Harris for the Commission's benefit. Discussion <br />took place. <br />The Public Hearing was opened. <br />Mr. Frank Auf der Maur, owner of the medical complex, was present and <br />said that the plans are being redesigned to meet State standards. He could <br />not tell the Commissioners what the final design would be. <br />It was decided that this item should be continued until February 8, 1978, to <br />allow for submittal of revised design plans for the medical building in <br />question. <br />RZ-77-22, Planning Commission - application for an amendment to Section <br />2-7.21(1) of Article 9, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the <br />City of Pleasanton, which would permit restaurants including "entertainment" <br />as conditionally allowed uses in the I-P (Industrial Park) and I-G (General <br />Industrial) Districts. <br />A draft ordinance was presented for the Commissioners' review, incorporating <br />the change to conditionally allow "entertainment" in conjunction with a <br />restaurant in the I-G and I-P Districts. <br />The Public Hearing was opened. <br />Mr. Doug Farrow of 3629 Olympic Court, who had requested the code amendment, <br />was present, and asked for a favorable recommendation. <br />The Public Hearing was closed. <br />Resolution No. 1609 was entered and adopted recommending to the City <br />Council the adoption of the draft ordinance which would conditionally allow <br />-10- <br />
