The Public Hearing was opened.
Ralph Romero, 3588 Touriga Drive, the
ject property, was present and had no
property owner gave him authority to
potential property owner of the sub-
objections to rezoning. The present
speak for him.
The Public Hearing was closed.
Resolution No. 1668 was entered and adopted making the finding that the
project would not have an adverse impact on the environment and that a
Negative Declaration would be filed.
Roll Call Vote
Resolution: Geppert
Seconded: Wilson
Ayes: Geppert, Wilson, Doherty
Noes: None
Absent: Getty, Jamieson
Abstain: None
Resolution No. 1669 was entered and adopted re Case RZ-78-9 recommending
to the City Council that the subject site be rezoned from the HPD (Hill-
side Planned Development) District to the R-1-40,000 District.
Roll Call Vote
Resolution: Wilson
Seconded: Geppert
Ayes: Geppert, Wilson, Doherty
Noes: None
Absent: Getty, Jamieson
Abstain: None
MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW
Review of a report pertaining to the revision of those sections of the
Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton which govern on-site and off-
site real estate "for sale or lease" signs.
Secretary Harris described-the staff report, indicating that unless the
requirements are tightened up there could be an untold number of off-site
signs. The staff recommends off-site signs be reduced from 4 to 2, and
1 on-site sign allowed. Also the amount of time a sign is allowed to be
retained should be re-examined. Perhaps the Code should be amended to
require a cash bond for removal of sign once the time has elapsed. The
City Council would like a report to be referred to them for consideration.
The Commissioners concurred that a staff report should be submitted to the
City Council on the subject matter.
Joseph Madden, 3851 Vineyard Avenue, spoke to withdraw his request for a
sign.
-7-
