Commissioner Doherty inquired as to whether or not there would be a large
amount of retail commercial use. Mr. Bras answered that there would
not be. Whatever the use would be, it would go with the general office
use and there would be no heavy retail uses being considered at this
point. Mr. Doherty mentioned the railroad property and inquired as to
whether or not Mr. Myers contacted the owner of the property. The answer
by Mr. Bras was, yes, but no meeting of the minds had been reached.
Mr. Bras stated that Mr. Myers has an escrow open and the entire matter
is contingent on securing the desired zoning.
Don Clements, part owner of the Schlies property stated he had no objection
to the proposal as outlined.
The Public Hearing was closed.
Resolution No. 1680 was entered and adopted making the finding that the
proposed General Plan Amendment would not have any significant adverse
impacts on the environment and that the negative declaration would be
approved.
Roll Call Vote
Resolution: Geppert
Seconded: Doherty
Ayes: Geppert, Wilson and Acting Chairman Doherty
Noes: None
Abstain: None
Resolution No. 1681 was entered recommending to the City Council approval
of the General Plan Amendment requested.
Roll Call Vote
Resolution: Geppert
Seconded: Doherty
Ayes: Geppert, Wilson and Acting Chairman Doherty
Noes: None
Abstain: None
UP-78-19, Sharon Miller
Application for a conditional use permit to allow four chickens to be
kept at a residence located at 4150 Francisco Street. Zoning for the
property is R-1-6500 District.
Secretary Harris described the staff report and its recommendation for
approval of the permit.
The Public Hearing was opened.
The applicant, Sharon Miller, 4150 Francisco Street, was present. She
stated she previously had four chickens. It was determined by her that
one of the chickens was in fact a rooster and she had gotten rid of the
rooster and now had three hens. She keeps the chickens for fresh eggs.
-5-
