Secretary Harris described the staff report recommending the application for the general plan amendment as well as the negative declaration. The Public Hearing was opened. Jack Bras, AIA, representing the applicant was present and concurred with the staff report. Mr. Bras stated that Dr. Elia anticipated appli- cation to the HSA for a surgery center on the property in the near future. But this application would take a very long time to process. He reiterated that the applicant would primarily be using the designated area as office space. The Public Hearing was closed. Resolution No. 1678 was entered and adopted making the finding that the proposed amendment to the General Plan would not have any significant impacts on the environment and that the negative declaration would be filed. A negative declaration of environmental impact will also be considered. Secretary Harris reviewed and explained the staff report. The Public Hearing was opened.
