GP-79-2, Castlewood Enterprises
Application of Castlewood Enterprises for a General Plan Amendment which
would change the land use designation of a 2.5 acre site located at the
southeast quadrant of the junction of Junipero Drive with Sunol Boulevard
from "Public and Institutional" to "Commercial and Offices" and "High
Density Residential." Roughly 1.6 acres of the site adjacent to Sunol
Boulevard would become "Commercial and Offices," the remaining easterly
0.9 acres would become "High Density Residential." A negative declaration
of environmental impacts will also be considered.
Mr. Harris explained the staff report.
Commissioner Doherty inquired whether or not the Homeowners Association
of Mission Park was notified. Mr. Harris stated they receive an agenda for
every meeting and that Mrs. Karen Mohr, their president, was present in
the audience.
The public hearing was opened.
Ted Fairfield, one of the applicants, spoke stating that the staff report
was fairly written and he agrees with it. He stated the offices would be
on the opposite side of the street from the garden courts.
Karen Mohr, Mission Park Homeowners representative, spoke stating they
have no problems with this proposal.
The public hearing was closed.
Commissioner Getty made a motion approving the filing of the negative
declaration making the finding that there are not significant impacts on
the environment. This motion was seconded by Commissioner Leppert.
Resolution No. 1723 was entered and adopted recommending approval of
the Negative Declaration filed under GP-79-2.
Roll Call Vote
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Geppert, Getty and Chairman Jamieson
Noes: None
Absent: None
Abstain: Commissioner Wilson
Commissioner Doherty made a motion to approve this project.
