Mr. Harris explained the staff report and that the proposed zoning would <br />be in conformance with the General Plan. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Ted Fairfield, a partner in this application addressed the Commission <br />explaining their goal of thirteen lots of 20,000+ sq. ft. each. He further <br />stated the property has been downzoned several times and they would now <br />like to develop at 20,000 sq. ft. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was then made by Commissioner Leppert, seconded by Commissioner <br />Getty that the negative declaration proposed for this project be approved <br />as this project would not have any significant effects on the environment. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Geppert, Getty, Jamieson and Chairman Doherty <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Commissioner Wilson <br />Resolution No. 1796 was then entered and adopted approving the <br />negative declaration. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Geppert, seconded by Commissioner <br />Jamieson recommending approval of case RZ-79-18 as petitioned. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Geppert, Getty, Jamieson and Chairman Doherty <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Commissioner Wilson <br />Resolution No. 1797 was then entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of RZ-79-18. <br />UP-79-20, C & H Development Company for Lafayette Sa~in~'s`~:nd`'L'oan <br />Association <br />App ication of Lafayette Savings and Loan Association for a conditional <br />use permit to allow a savings and loan company to be located at 915 <br />Main Street, Suite C. The property is zoned C-C (Central Commercial) <br />District. <br />Mr. Harris explained the staff report stating the use is appropriate <br />for the area. <br />Commissioner Getty inquired as to whether or not there would be suffi- <br />cient parking. Mr. Harris responded there is more than enough.- Com- <br />missioner Getty then addressed the sign to be used in conjunction with <br />this use as it relates to Dr. Young's sign as well as the Beratlis~ <br />Byrd property adjoining this project. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Brad Hirst, C & H Development Company spoke representing the applicant <br />He stated they have granted Dr. Young an easement to relocate his sign <br />on the C & H property and that Lafayette Savings would not be asking <br />for permission to erect a freestanding sign.
