Lafayette Savings plans to open their doors for business between
October 1 and 15 and an application for a building permit for their
new building (to be located on this same property) would be made about
October 1, 1979.
Art Dunkley, 147 Bernal Avenue, addressed signing on this building as
it related to the logo for Allstate Realtors. It was explained to
Mr. Dunkley that the logo was not the sole issue with Allstate but rather
the colors and aesthetic quality of the sign were the issue previously
considered.
The public hearing was closed.
Commissioner Jamieson made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Getty,
that UP-79-20 be approved subject to the conditions of the September 12,
1979 staff report because all of the required findings could be made
in granting this use permit.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioner Leppert, Getty, Jamieson and Chairman Doherty
Noes: None
Absent: Commissioner Wilson
Resolution No. 1798 was then entered and adopted approving UP-79-20
as petitioned.
PUD-79-9, Castlewood Properties (Art Dunkley)
Application of Castlewood Properties for the rezoning of an approximately
6 acre parcel of land located at the southwest corner of Pico Avenue and
Vineyard Avenue from the R-1-6500 (Single-Family Residential) District
to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) District, and development plan
approval for a project containing 9 single-family lots and 25 condominium
units. The Planning Commission may recommend rezoning the property as
requested or to any other zoning district consistent with the General Plan.
PUD-79-9, was continued to October 10, 1979.
PUD-79-11, Centex
Application for a 79-unit single-family residential Planned Unit Develop-
ment proposed for the 32 acre site located east of Pleasanton School.
PUD-79-11 was continued to October 10, 1979.
PUD-79-2, Boatright and Goodrich
Application of Messrs. Boatright and Goodrich for development plan
approval for a 36-unit residential development on a 74.5 acre site
located west of Foothill Road and north of Longview Drive. The site
is zoned HPD (Hillside Planned Development) District. A negative
declaration of environmental impacts will also be considered.
PUD-79-2, was continued to October 10, 1979
-6-
