The property is zoned C-S (Commercial
Service) District.
Mr. Harris explained the staff report recommending approval of this
project as all required findings necessary to grant approval can be made.
Commissioner Geppert asked the name of the developer. Mr. Harris stated the
applicant is Earl Adams.
Chairperson Doherty inquired about the signing on Earl Adams building and
asked Mr. Harris for the status of the situation. Mr. Harris stated they
have looked at the signing and it is quite subdued compared to other
buildings in town and that the policy established by the City along time ago
doesn't require that window signs come before the City for approval. He
further stated that no signs have been approved for this building.
The public hearing was opened.
Mr. Fournier the co-applicant for this project spoke. He stated he had
concerns with condition #3 and #7 of the staff report and asked the
Commission where the damaged vehicles and trash and refuse could be put.
Commissioner Jamieson asked if the applicant intended to have a spray
booth. The applicant responded that since he is not painting entire
vehicles there is no requirement that he have a spray booth and it is not
his intention at this time to have one.
-9-
