Eric Bergh, 1155 Kolln, stated he would be facing the proposed buildings <br />more that most people and is concerned about traffic if Kolln were opened <br />up. He stated he would like to see limited access to the green belt. <br />He stated that evan a par course would have a lot of people along <br />the property line and that it would attract people late in the evening <br />and on weekends. He stated he would like to see a definite development <br />plan with trees and bushes. He further stated that the land behind his <br />property is higher than his and would like this to be considered also. <br />Karen Mohr spoke stating she applauds the sensitivity of the developer <br />and his concerns for the housing needs for the City of Pleasanton. <br />Joel Pernus, 1291 Kolln Street stated he would like to see the elimination <br />of a possible swing shift on any building adjoining - abutting Kolln <br />and stated that they can hear Kaiser working at 10:00 P.M.-11:00 P.M. <br />He stated he is not opposed to this park, but would like to see another <br />5 ft. added to the green belt. <br />Commissioner Wilson spoke asking Mr. Caroline if he should be disqualified <br />because he had previously made an offer on the property. Mr. Caroline <br />stated Commissioner Wilson is a fair person and doesn't feel this is <br />necessary. He stated he would suggest the property be rezoned RM-PUD <br />but that the City has itself in a bind because of RAP and, thus, it <br />makes it difficult for a developer to put in low cost housing. He stated <br />he would like to see Mr. Caroline consider a mobile home park. He spoke <br />to HUD and their approvals. <br />Chairperson Doherty stated that the proposal is attractive and that the <br />applicant indicated he is quite flexible and open to suggestions. He <br />stated he supports Mr. Wilson's statements but isn't supportive of mobile <br />home parks. <br />Commissioner Jamieson supported Commissioner Wilson's statement con- <br />cerning a mobile home park. He stated low income housing is something <br />badly needed in Pleasanton. <br />Mr. Brown, 1115 Kolln spoke asking if the property must be rezoned if <br />residential uses are to be allowed. Mr. Harris explained that it does <br />have to be rezoned. Mr. Brown further stated that lakes, as proposed, <br />would possibly serve as a mosquito breeder. <br />Mr. O'Hearn, AIA of Habitec, responded stating they <br />further information as part of their PUD applicatio <br />Pleasanton and that along with that submittal would <br />similar to the Oakmead and Santa Rosa developments. <br />which he is prepared to show will reaffirm the good <br />proposal. He stated that concerning mosquitos, the <br />has this same lake and there is no problem. <br />will be submitting <br />n to the City of <br />be proposed CC&Rs <br />He stated that slides <br />aspects of this <br />City of Milpitas <br />Chairperson Doherty then closed the input for this proposal. <br />Commissioner Getty addressed design review and stated she felt insufficient <br />time was allowed for Design Review Board to meet and properly consider the <br />items on the agenda and at the same time allow the Planning Commission to <br />start at 8:00 P.M.
