Commissioner Jamieson stated that a similar use was approved at the <br />last Planning Commission meeting; for an Auto Painting and Body Repair <br />Shop for this same property. <br />Mr. Barris explained the use approved previously and stated it was <br />not the same as the use now being proposed. IIe further stated that <br />the conditions for both uses are the same. <br />Painting was then discussed by the Commissioners and Mr. Harris <br />stated that this would have to be approved by the Fire Department <br />and meet the Fire Code. He further stated that when a business <br />license is issued the Fire Department follows through and makes sure <br />the premises are up to code. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Douglas Okazaki, 5646 Firestone, Livermore, the applicant spoke. He <br />said that his business would be auto repairing and maintenance and he <br />has no intention of painting vehicles. He stated he has no problem <br />with the staff report. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner Leppert stated there is a difference between this appli- <br />cation for a conditional use permit and Mr. Canessa's which was <br />previously heard and that this use is appropriate for the building <br />and that he is in favor of granting approval to this application. <br />Commissioner Doherty stated he was glad the staff put in condition 8 <br />regarding window signs. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Wilson, seconded by Commissioner <br />Getty that case UP-79-25 be approved as all required findings could <br />be made. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Geppert, Getty, Jamieson, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Doherty <br />Noes: None <br />Resolution No. 1831 was then entered and adopted approving UP-79-25. <br />UP-79-26, Patricia Day <br />Application for a conditional use permit to allow day care for children <br />at their residence located at 2556 Via Espada. Zoning for the pro- <br />perty is R-1-6500 District. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report stating in the staff's opinion <br />all of the required findings could be made in approving this application. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />-4- <br />._... _..~ .r. . _... _ ., __.~. <br />
