John Caroline, 4487 Pleasanton Avenue, the applicant stated he would
be happy to answer any questions posed by the Commission or the audience.
As there were no questions, the public hearing was closed.
Commissioner Jamieson stated that he liked the curbing proposed.
Mr. Harris stated the City Council changed this condition for safety
purposes and that Mr. Caroline agreed to this change.
There being no further discussion, Commissioner Jamieson made a motion,
seconded by Commissioner Getty that Tract 4326 be approved subject to the
conditions of the staff report.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Getty, Jamieson and Chairperson Doherty
Noes: None
Absent: Commissioner Leppert
Abstain: Commissioner Wilson
Resolution No. 1863 was then entered and adopted approving the tentative
map for Tract 4326.
Tract 4549, Morrison Homes
Application of Morrison Homes for tentative map approval for a 46-unit
condominium development to be located at the northeast corner of Black
Avenue and Hopyard Road. The site is zoned RM-2500 (Multiple-Residential)
District.
Chairperson Doherty stated the Commission has received a communication
for a neighbor, Hugh Porter, which speaks to this; the unsightly condition
of this site because of construction trailers and other types of trailers
parked on the site which have been there for a long time.
Mr. Harris stated that the staff is working with Morrison Homes on this
and that Morrison has started removing some equipment. He said they will
be removing those trees allowed to be moved and because of that they
had to move some vehicles. He stated they would move three trailers to
the east end of the site initially and when they start construction they
will remove everything except that needed for the construction on the
site. He stated when Morrison comes in for their temporary use permit
application, the staff will look at the site and consider the situation,
but that they will be removing a number of items immediately.
Commissioner Jamieson stated he had received three calls in the last
two weeks on that site. He stated it is an eyesore and would like staff
to put pressure on Morrison to clean up immediately.
The public hearing was opened.
-15-
