Chairperson Doherty stated he had a letter from the Chairperson of <br />the Human Services Commission regarding affordable housing. He cir- <br />culated this letter for the rest of the Commission to review. He <br />further stated he had a letter from Mike Parsons relating to a <br />meeting 5/22/80 at the Fairgrounds Cafeteria regarding assisted housing <br />development and that ABAG will have a slide presentation on new con- <br />struction update. He stated this would be held 5/22/80 at 7:30 P.M., <br />Alameda County Fairgrounds Cafeteria. He further meintioned a 2-day <br />seminar 5/19-20/80 at USC, <br />Chairperson Doherty stated that next month DeWitt Wilson will be back <br />and that the Planning Commission will be electing a new Chairperson and <br />the Chairperson will appoint the Design Review and Board of Adjustment <br />Boards. He stated they would also extend an invitation to Ken Leppert <br />to join the Planning Commission for a small presentation that same night - <br />June 11, 1980. <br />Commissioner Getty welcomed Larry Lindsey as the newest member of the <br />Planning Commission and congratulated Bill Jamieson on his reappointment <br />for another four years. <br />Commissioner Lindsey stated he is looking forward to working with the <br />Planning group. <br />OLD BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />There was none. <br />NEW BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />Z-80-57, Dan Holmes <br />App ication o Dan Holmes for a home occupation permit which would allow <br />an ambulance service to be located at 4436 Mohr Avenue, Apt. 22. The <br />property is zoned RM-1500 CMultiple Residential) District. The facility <br />would be used to provide permanent residence for one supervisor, and <br />one crew person (not to exceed a total of two on-duty personnel and <br />one ambulance at a time). <br />Mr. Harris explained the staff report and the reason for recommending <br />approval. He stated the applicant's biggest contract was with the VA <br />hospital in Livermore. Mr. Harris further stated there is a striped <br />area for an ambulance service which is marked "ambulance only." He <br />stated the staff feels there is no harm done with another ambulance <br />available in Pleasanton. <br />Mr. Harris stated there were two telephone calls from residents opposed <br />to this application.
