MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />Alameda County Fairgrounds <br />Cafeteria, Pleasanton Avenue <br />Wednesday, May 14, 1980 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />T e meeting was called to order at 8:40 P.M. by Chairperson Gregg Doherty. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: <br />Commissioners Absent: <br />Staff Members Present: <br />Council Members Present: <br />Joyce Getty, Bill Jamieson, Larry Lindsey <br />and Chairperson Gregg Doherty <br />DeWitt Wilson <br />Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Walt Schaumburg, <br />Director of Engineering Services; and <br />Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />None <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes of the April 9, 1980 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR MEMBERS OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION <br />No one a resse t e Commission. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris stated that the applicant of case UP-80-3 may request a con- <br />tinuance to allow her to apply for a variance to the Ordinance Code of <br />the City of Pleasanton to allow the retention of an enclosed garage for <br />the day care use proposed in this application. <br />Inasmuch as there were people in the audience who wished to be considered <br />regarding the use permit application of Mrs. Tyrrell, Chairperson Doherty <br />stated they would open the public hearing to that case, consider testimony <br />and then continue the matter if the applicant so requested. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION <br />Commissioner Jamieson stated he a met with Supervisor Raymond and <br />they discussed a number of bills relating to the Assembly and Senate. She <br />pointed out there is a Bill called SB 1960 which passed the local govern- <br />ment committee. He stated that if passed, it would allow mobile homes <br />on foundations to be located anywhere a single-family dwelling can be <br />located. Commissioner Jamieson stated this is a very drastic bill. <br />Chairperson Doherty asked the staff to have the City Attorney look <br />into these and get back to the Planning Commission with input on these <br />matters. <br /> <br />
