He stated the lots are lower than Auf der Maur's property and that they
can't really assure there will be one-story houses on the lower site.
Chairperson Wilson stated that Frank Auf der Maur doesn't object to a
one-story split level but he doesn't want it any higher than one story
on the high side.
Mr. Auf der Maur inquired as to the grade on the high side. Mr. Fairfield
explained.
Judith Mayhew, 5584 San Jose, representing Mission Park Homeowners addressed
the Commission. She stated that at the time the streets and other improvements
are put in she wants to make sure the erosion problems are taken care of.
Mr. Fairfield stated they are aware of the problem and that is the reason
the improvements will be done at one time.
Chairperson Wilson then stated the City changed the drainage which effects
Lots 9 and 10 on Mission Drive. That drainage system caused a slide this
winter and that he hopes this can be corrected in the not to distant
future. He further stated there was never a slide on those lots before.
Ted Fairfield stated the City has made some changes but that if you make
it a condition of approval, changes will be made before next winter but
that he can't tell what the City will do about fixing the situation.
Mr. Fairfield stated that access will reduce the amount of water downhill
more than one half.
Mr. Schaumburg stated he would have the situation checked. Chairperson
Wilson stated that even rough grading would help.
The public hearing was closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Jamieson, seconded by Commissioner Doherty
that Tentative Tract 4611, Mission Park be approved subject to the conditions
of the staff report, the report from Engineering Services dated 6/11/80 plus
an additional condition to the report of Engineering Services "That the
Pico Avenue improvements as shown on the map are greater than provided by
the annexation agreement, therefore, no sidewalk will be required on Mission
Hill side of Pico Avenue abutting the subject property.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Jamieson, Lindsey and
Chairperson Wilson
Noes: None
Resolution No. 1883 was then entered and adopted approving Tentative Tract
4611 for Mission Park.
-8-
