UP-80-10, Joanne Glass <br />Application of Joanne Glass for a conditional use permit which would <br />allow the operation of a daycare center at her residence at 2126 Tanager <br />Court. The property is zoned R-1-6500 (Single-Family Residential) District. <br />Mr. Harris explained the staff report recommending approval. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Joanne Glass, the applicant, spoke stating she had nothing to say but <br />would be happy to answer any questions. <br />Commissioner Lindsey asked if her neighbors are aware of her intentions. <br />Mr. Harris stated all neighbors who live within 300 feet have been notified. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Jamieson that all findings to grant a use <br />permit can be made and that UP-80-10 be approved subject to the conditions <br />of the staff report. <br />Mr. Harris stated that a condition should be added identical to #6 in the <br />Tyrrell's report. He stated this was left out in error regarding State <br />Fire Codes. <br />Commissioner Doherty stated he would support Commissioner Jamieson's <br />motion and to add to it Mr. Harris' suggestion which Commissioner Jamieson <br />agreed to the addition. <br />Commissioner Jamieson indicated he was in favor of the addition of the <br />additional condition. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Jamieson, Lindsey and <br />Chairperson Wilson <br />Noes: None <br />Resolution No. 1880 was then entered and adopted approving case UP-80-10 <br />as per staff report with the addition of a condition concerning Fire Codes. <br />Commissioner Getty stated that perhaps the City should look into the code <br />regarding childcare. Mr. Harris stated that the Code is not specific <br />but that just a use permit is required and findings must be made concern- <br />ing the public safety and welfare. <br />UP-80-11, Morrison Homes <br />Application of Morrison Homes for a conditional use permit which would <br />allow a sales office and model home complex to be located at the northeast <br />corner of Black Avenue and Hopyard Road, the site of a new condominium <br />project. The property is zoned RM-2500 (Multiple-Residential) District. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />-5- <br /> <br />
