John Thatch, architect for the project spoke explaining the design of <br />the proposal. <br />Al Shenone, 1895 Halcyon spoke with concern about the walkways, and <br />parking on the streets with a total of three multiple projects in the <br />area. <br />Jack Mallard, 1948 Harvest Road spoke saying he is one lot away from the <br />back of the property line, speaking to traffic concerns and parking <br />and would like the stumps of the removed trees which are now sticking <br />up replaced. <br />Rich Benetto, 1792 Harvest Road (corner of Black) spoke asking if the <br />Planning Commission had the power to change the area on Black Avenue <br />to a no parking zone. <br />Chairperson Wilson stated he drove by the area on Sunday and there was <br />no parking problem whatsoever. <br />Commissioner Getty suggested Mr. Benetto go before City Council and <br />make this request. <br />Commissioner Lindsey reiterated that the developer was providing 2.5 <br />parking spaces for each unit which is a sizeable number of parking <br />spaces. <br />Commissioner Doherty stated he would not like to see the same situation <br />in this area that now exists on Mohr Avenue because of apartment tenants <br />parking on the street. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Jamieson, seconded by Commissioner <br />Doherty, that the negative declaration prepared for case PUD-80-8 <br />be recommended for approval inasmuch as the development of this project <br />would not cause any significant adverse effects on the environment. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Jamieson, Lindsey and <br />Chairperson Wilson <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Resolution No. 1899 was then entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of the negative declaration for case PUD-80-8. <br />-12 ~- <br /> <br />
