Bill Erik, 8368 Davona Drive, Dublin, Deacon of Valley Community Church,
addressed the Datwyler purchase. He stated the property was purchased
for $80,000 and that completion of road work cost $98,000 and that
the property south of the Arroyo Del Valle showed no profit. He
stated concerning the parking, that with the new configuration there
would be more parking because of the elimination of a volleyball
court, etc.
The public hearing was closed.
Commissioner Lindsey asked whether or not the application could be
denied and reviewed at the time of a specific proposal.
Chairperson Wilson asked if the developer or the church has paid for
the designs shown.
Mr. Hirst stated the church has paid for all designs to date.
Chairperson Wilson asked if the applicant was opposed to medium density.
Commissioner Lindsey stated he would be concerned with high density
and would recommend a lower density for the property.
Commissioner Getty asked if medium density, how many more lots could
be created out of those eight. Mr. Harris stated that it could be
anywhere between two and eight dwelling units per acre unless it goes
PUD in which there could be a 25~ variable (1-1/2 - 10 DU/ac.).
A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner Lindsey,
recommending that the negative declaration proposed for case GP-80-4
be adopted as the project would have no significant adverse effects on
the environment.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey and Chairperson Wilson
Noes: None
Absent: Commissioner Jamieson
Resolution No. 1904 was then entered and adopted recommending approval of
the negative declaration for case GP-80-4.
A motion was then made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner
Doherty, recommending that the 2.32+ acre site, subject of case GP-80-4
be changed from "Public" to "Medium Density Residential" and not "High
Density Residential" as requested.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey and Chairperson Wilson
Noes: None
Absent: Commissioner Jamieson
Resolution No. 1905 was then entered and adopted recommending approval
of a land use change from "Public" to "Medium Density Residential."
-6-
__._,..____.,~ _ . _.. _...._ __...rv_ _,, _._... _._,. __ _ _. _ _. r.
