Brad Hirst, 2456 Minivet Court, spoke stating he had not~iing further to
add to the staff report and urged the Commission to consider his request.
As no one else addressed the Commission concerning this request, the
public hearing was closed.
Chairperson Wilson stated he is surprised that the PUD districts have
no set parking requirements.
Commissioner Getty addressed the other uses allowed in this PUD and
their parking situation. Mr. Harris clarified the three uses and that
there are no parking problems at the present time and that the overall
development supplied more than sufficient parking for the proposed uses.
Commissioner Getty stated she has made many no votes on much of the
development in this area because of particular concerns with the inter-
section and access to those properties. She addressed concerns with
people drinking and entering the intersection.
Mr. Harris stated that as part of Burger King's design review approval,
there was a condition made that if problems developed with this business
exiting onto Hopyard, permission to exit on Hopyard could be revoked
at any time.
Chairperson Wilson stated regarding traffic and parking, he would be
more concerned with a restaurant going into this location than a bar.
Brad Hirst spoke again stating this will only be a 30-seat cocktail
lounge which will not serve food. He stated the parking lot is all
common area parking. He stated that a donut shop proposed would
certainly not be in conflict with this use concerning the parking,
neither would a beauty supply house and other businesses.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner
Doherty that "bars not part of restaurants and where complete meals
are not served" be an allowed use as part of PUD-79-3.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Lindsey and Chairperson Wilson
Noes: Commissioner Getty
Absent: Commissioner Jamieson
Resolution No. 1901 was then entered and adopted approving this revision
to the PUD as recommended in the staff report of 9/10/80.
GP-80-3, Robert E. Meyer
Application of Robert E. Meyer for an amendment to the General Plan
which would change the land use designation of two parcels consisting
of a total of approximately 83 acres located on the northwest corner
of Hopyard Road and Stoneridge Drive from "General and Limited Industrial"
to "Industrial, Commercial and Offices." The Planning Commission may
recommend approval of the proposed change or may recommend any other
-2-
_ _........_.. _...._.. _.__.. .... ..__ _ .. . ... _,.. „T........ ~. .... .. _,.
