MINUTES PLANNING COMMISSION Alameda County Fairgrounds Pleasanton, California Wednesday, September 10, 1980 8:00 P.M. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 9:00 P.M. by Chairperson DeWitt Wilson. ROLL CALL Commissioners Present: Commissioner Absent: Staff Members Present: Council Members Present: Gregg Doherty, Joyce Getty, Larry Lindsey and Chairperson DeWitt Wilson Bill Jamieson (vacation) Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development; Robert L. Warnick, Director of Public Works and Utilities and Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary Karin Mohr The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. APPROVAL OF MINUTES It was motioned, seconded and carried that the Minutes of the 8/13/80 meeting be approved as submitted. MEETING OPEN FOR MEMBERS OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION No one addressed the Commission. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA Mr. Harris stated that Item 6(d), case RZ-80-9, Robert E. Frank should be continued to the October Planning Commission meeting if the Commissioners concur; and that the proponent of the PUD modification request (PUD-79-3), Item 7(a) be moved ahead of the general plan amendments if the Commission concurs. The Planning Commissioners agreed with these revisions to the agenda. PUD-79-3, W. R. Grace Development Compan Application o W. R. Grace Development Company for a minor modification to their PUD (Planned Unit Development) already approved at Hopyard Road near I-580 to allow cocktail lounges in this already approved Planned Unit Development. Mr. Harris explained the reason for the modification request and that because of previous traffic concerns addressed by the Commission, he felt the Planning Commission should make a decision regarding this matter and not the staff even though according to the Ordinance Code they could. The public hearing was opened.
