MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Alameda County Fairgrounds <br />Pleasanton, California <br />Wednesday, September 10, 1980 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 9:00 P.M. by Chairperson DeWitt Wilson. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: <br />Commissioner Absent: <br />Staff Members Present: <br />Council Members Present: <br />Gregg Doherty, Joyce Getty, Larry Lindsey <br />and Chairperson DeWitt Wilson <br />Bill Jamieson (vacation) <br />Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Robert L. Warnick, <br />Director of Public Works and Utilities and <br />Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />Karin Mohr <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />It was motioned, seconded and carried that the Minutes of the 8/13/80 <br />meeting be approved as submitted. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR MEMBERS OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION <br />No one addressed the Commission. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris stated that Item 6(d), case RZ-80-9, Robert E. Frank should <br />be continued to the October Planning Commission meeting if the Commissioners <br />concur; and that the proponent of the PUD modification request (PUD-79-3), <br />Item 7(a) be moved ahead of the general plan amendments if the Commission <br />concurs. The Planning Commissioners agreed with these revisions to <br />the agenda. <br />PUD-79-3, W. R. Grace Development Compan <br />Application o W. R. Grace Development Company for a minor modification <br />to their PUD (Planned Unit Development) already approved at Hopyard Road <br />near I-580 to allow cocktail lounges in this already approved Planned <br />Unit Development. <br />Mr. Harris explained the reason for the modification request and that <br />because of previous traffic concerns addressed by the Commission, he <br />felt the Planning Commission should make a decision regarding this <br />matter and not the staff even though according to the Ordinance Code <br />they could. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br /> <br />
