Item 14: Mr. Harris explained this proposal concerning First Street. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Doug Safreno, 1627 Vineyard Avenue, an owner of several of the pieces <br />within the proposal, spoke. He stated he didn't know there was a <br />Land Use Committee formed inasmuch as he doesn't take the local news- <br />papers. He stated he owns the property on which the Shell station is <br />located at Vineyard Avenue/First Street. He then stated that all of <br />his plans for his property are based on it staying high density resi- <br />dential and urged it to remain as it is now. <br />Kevin Kelly, 861 Chateli, owner of a .6 acre site on First and <br />Kottinger next to Mr. Safreno's property wants the property to remain <br />high density. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Item 15: Mr. Harris explained. He stated this is the one item on <br />which the staff disagrees and said it could be potentially detrimental <br />to the City. <br />The public hearing was opened. No one spoke. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Items 16 and 17: Mr. Harris asked that these two items be considered <br />at the same time as they involve the same area. He said this is the <br />Deetz property and properties nearby. <br />The public hearing was opened on Items 16 and 17. No one spoke. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Item 18: Mr. Harris stated this property is owned by George Oakes and <br />it is the intent to reduce the width of the park strip to bring it into <br />conformance with the original intent. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />No one spoke and the public hearing was closed. <br />Item 19: Mr. Harris reviewed the original intention of the Urbanization <br />Line and its relationship to sewer capacity.
