Chairperson Wilson explained it was requested by the City Council
that a Land Use Committee be formed and the land uses studied throughout
Pleasanton and that this Committee worked toward that end diligently
for six months; the end results are the recommendations included in the
staff report. He said concerning Item 9 he would like it to remain
medium density.
Mr. Barlow, Alisal Street, spoke asking when the property was changed to
medium density. Mr. Harris stated 1976 or before but didn't have all
of the general plan changes of the City with him at this hearing.
Mr. Barlow stated they have a letter on file with the City stating the
entire area including Sycamore was to have remained one acre lots
and (referring to the General Plan Map on the wall) stated there is
no color representing that density on the map.
Patricia Daggett, 8725 Wicklow Street, Dublin, stated she would like
to see Sycamore low density and would like to build her home on a
piece of property she has owned there for three years. She urged Item
8 and 9 revert to low density. She asked the Planning Commission for
direction concerning her proposal to build a home.
Chairperson Wilson said there is no sewer, water lines, etc. and the
only thing for Ms. Daggett to do would be to wait.
The public hearing was closed.
Item 10: Mr. Harris explained this item.
The public hearing was opened.
No one addressed the issue and the public hearing was closed.
Item 11: Mr. Harris explained this item.
The public hearing was opened.
No one spoke regarding this item.
The public hearing was closed.
Item 12: Mr. Harris explained it was the intention of the General Plan
to have gently rolling land be low density rather than open space. This
area was included mainly through inaccuracy and lack of information
when the General Plan was put together.
The public hearing was opened.
No one addressed this matter, and the public hearing was closed.
Item 13: Mr. Harris stated this was a street extension and this is
merely a recommendation to have it shown on the General Plan map.
The public hearing was opened. As there were no comments, the public
hearing was closed.
-9-
~......._.._..__..... ..~~__.__.___._..._.._.....__._~..._~.......... ____._._....r__......... .... ~..... _.... ..,.._...... ._.._.. .. . _.. ,. . _, .,. __ ....?_. __ __.
