MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Alameda County Fairgrounds <br />Pleasanton, California <br />Wednesday, November 12, 1980 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:25 P.M. by Chairperson DeWitt <br />Wilson. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Doherty, Getty, Jamieson, Lindsey and <br />Chairperson Wilson <br />Staff Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Robert L. Warnick, <br />Director of Public Works and Utilities; <br />and Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />Council Member Present: Karin Mohr <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of 10/8/80 and 10/14/80 were approved as submitted. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR MEMBERS OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION <br />No one addressed the Commission. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris stated that item 6c, UP-80-33, Turley and item 6f, PUD-80-12, <br />Laidley should be continued to 12/10/80. He stated that UP-80-33 was <br />requested by the applicant and that PUD-80-12 needed more work by <br />staff and applicant before it was considered. The Commission concurred <br />with these continuances. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY THE COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Lindsey stated it is rumored the recently closed Castle <br />Bar was going to reopen as an arcade room and hoped that this type <br />of use would come before the Commission. <br />Chairperson Wilson stated that Commissioner Getty has a slide pre- <br />sentation to make concerning downtown areas. <br />Commissioner Doherty stated that as a Human Services Commissioner he <br />was asked to make sure the Planning Commission agendas were mailed <br />to the members of that Board. <br />Commissioner Getty stated that it has been nice since the Castle bar <br />has been shut down. Mr. Harris stated that he believes the owners <br />of that property have 90 days to make repairs and if they want to <br />open after 90 days they may have to have a conditional use permit. <br />He stated he was not totally sure of this, however, and would have <br />to cl°~eck. <br />_. _ ...... ... ........ _._ .. ._._ 'T... _......-. ...... ... <br />
