MINUTES PLANNING COMMISSION Alameda County Fairgrounds Pleasanton, California Wednesday, November 12, 1980 8:00 P.M. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 8:25 P.M. by Chairperson DeWitt Wilson. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. ROLL CALL Commissioners Present: Doherty, Getty, Jamieson, Lindsey and Chairperson Wilson Staff Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development; Robert L. Warnick, Director of Public Works and Utilities; and Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary Council Member Present: Karin Mohr MINUTES The Minutes of 10/8/80 and 10/14/80 were approved as submitted. MEETING OPEN FOR MEMBERS OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION No one addressed the Commission. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA Mr. Harris stated that item 6c, UP-80-33, Turley and item 6f, PUD-80-12, Laidley should be continued to 12/10/80. He stated that UP-80-33 was requested by the applicant and that PUD-80-12 needed more work by staff and applicant before it was considered. The Commission concurred with these continuances. MATTERS INITIATED BY THE COMMISSION MEMBERS Commissioner Lindsey stated it is rumored the recently closed Castle Bar was going to reopen as an arcade room and hoped that this type of use would come before the Commission. Chairperson Wilson stated that Commissioner Getty has a slide pre- sentation to make concerning downtown areas. Commissioner Doherty stated that as a Human Services Commissioner he was asked to make sure the Planning Commission agendas were mailed to the members of that Board. Commissioner Getty stated that it has been nice since the Castle bar has been shut down. Mr. Harris stated that he believes the owners of that property have 90 days to make repairs and if they want to open after 90 days they may have to have a conditional use permit.
