Commissioner Lindsey asked how much time it would take to coordinate
efforts.
Mr. Harris stated that possibly they could enter into an agreement
concerning the up-front costs.
Rich Wayne, 378 Ewing Drive, stated if the number of lots were limited
to the 16 single-family lots this would be okay but was opposed to the
remainder of the proposal.
Mert Murray, 470 Mavis agreed with Mr. Wayne. Bill Hirst, 405 Ewing
Drive, said he didn't have a problem with the 16 lots on the south
end of the site because it was always his understanding that this
was contemplated for the area. He urged the matter be continued for
a month so that access could be worked out. Phil Henry, 405 Ewing
Drive, objected to the multiples also especially exiting down Rowell,
Mavis or Ewing Drives. Teresa Vicknair, 464 Ewing Drive, said she
still doesn't understand why Dunkley was required to use something
other than Pico. Chairperson Wilson explained that residences are
not suppose to have driveways on major thoroughfares.
Mr. Harris explained the definition of 'major thoroughfares.'
Richard Green, 575 Rowell Lane, said he would like to see the project
reviewed further.
Fred Green, 605 Rowell Lane, said this street is only a half street
and objected to multiples.
Maureen Lawrence, 438 Ewing Drive, stated she agrees with the comments
offered by her neighbors. She asked for and received an explaination
concerning medium density residential. Mrs. Lawrence said she didn't
see how one could consider the 16 lots without making access available.
Leonard Stout, 362.8 Swizzig Court, stated he is definitely against
multiples as there is too much traffic on Vineyard now.
The public hearing was closed.
Chairperson Wilson asked if the traffic on Vineyard is unbearable.
Mr. Harris stated there is a lot of traffic.
J. Jack Bras, in the interest of the neighbors comments, stated now
they know the concerns and would try to come up with something suitable
to all parties.
Commissioner Doherty said he had a problem with rezoning because of
traffic but has no problems with the development of single-family
residences.
Commissioner Getty stated she agrees this case should be delayed but
when they come back in they should come back in with a street pattern.
She said she wants to know how they are going to get people to and
from the property.
This matter was continued to 1/14/80.
-11-
..... _ ._..,.. ...._ _,_.. .... _.. __ .___-. ___.r_, .._ _. _ _ ...
