OLD BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />UP-80-35, Marcia Myers <br />Application of Marcia Myers for a conditional use permit which would <br />allow the operation of a cocktail lounge at the newly constructed <br />commercial center located in the northernmost building at the corner <br />of Hopyard Road and Valley Avenue. The site is zoned C-C (Central <br />Commercial) District. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report which recommends approval. He <br />stated a survey was done since last month with regard to other cocktail <br />lounges and parking during the various hours of operation. <br />Commissioner Doherty stated the elimination of food being served <br />does not include potato chips and snack type items but that it means <br />no other types of foods may be served by a kitchen or microwave method. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Jim Pindel, co-applicant of Marcia Myers, addressed the Commission <br />stating he concurs with the staff report of 1/14/81 and the recommen- <br />dations thereon. <br />In response to a question raised by Commissioner Jamieson, Mr. Harris <br />explained how the required parking was determined. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Doherty, seconded by Commissioner <br />Jamieson that case UP-80-35 be approved subject to the conditions of <br />the staff report of l/14/81 because all of the required findings <br />listed on that report can be made. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: Commissioner <br />Doherty, Getty, Jamieson and Chairperson Wilson <br />Lindsey <br />Resolution No. 1932 was then entered and adopted approving case <br />UP-80-35 per the staff report of 1/14/81. <br />PUD-80-13, Dorothy N. Johnson <br />Application of Dorothy N. Johnson to rezone from the R-1-6500 (Single- <br />Family Residential) District to the PUD (Planned Unit Devemopment-Medium <br />Density Residential) District an approximately 10 acre site located on <br />the south side of Vineyard Avenue approximately 120 feet west of Pico <br />Avenue.
