time limit on the sewer permits on this and the Meyer property. Chair-
person Wilson stated that the Planning Commission, City Council and
City staff are concerned with effects of development, however, the
Southern Pacific property across the street from this development on
Hopyard Road hasn't come in with any plans at this time and it would
be unfair to hold up proposals made for the application of others who
haven't indicated they would make application. He said the Planning
Commission, City Council and staff are doing their very best to make
certain proper improvements will be made and done in a timely manner.
Mr. Ebright stated that while individually the impacts may not be
significant, collectively they would be.
Pat Lloyd, 4694 Carson Court, stated her back yard abuts Stoneridge
Drive and truck traffic currently makes her house vibrate and urged that
the Planning Commission not rush any items through because of sewer
permit expiration dates.
Commissioner Doherty stated it should come as no surprise to the citizens
of the community because there have been notices on general plan amend-
ments and rezonings of the area over a long period of time and that it
was more a matter of 'when' it was going to occur as opposed 'if'
development was going to occur. He said Flying "J" was approved for
this same property last year. Commissioner Doherty said that this
project has controls built into it and it would be unfair to put it
off until everyone else has plans submitted. He further stated that he
is sure that at the joint meeting, the Planning Commission and City
Council will look at the fire, safety, environmental aspects of
developments.
The public hearing was closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Doherty, seconded by Commissioner
Getty that the Tentative Map, Tract 4788 for Reynolds and Brown be
approved subject to the staff report of 2/17/81 with the changes
requested by Mr. Warnick.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Jamieson, Lindsey and
Chairperson Wilson
Noes: None
Resolution No. 1956 was then entered and adopted approving the tentative
tract map (#4788) for Reynolds and Brown.
After checking the Ordinance Code, Mr. Harris stated that the tentative
map approval could only be appealed by the applicant.
-11-
._. ._.... .._ ._.... .__. __.._._. ._. .__. ..._..._.... _. _.',.._.._.,..... ._ __..... .... _.. _..__ .... ...._.. _... .. ._..... _..__._ _. ..... .._.~_.... _...~. .. .r...r.... _, .... _.. _. _......
