The public hearing was opened. <br />Ed Covey, 4610 Klamath Court, Pleasanton, spoke stating they agree <br />with the staff report. <br />Commissioner Lindsey asked what kind of a cocktail lounge this would <br />be -- would it be like "y'all come back" saloon on Hopyard? <br />Mr. Covey explained it would be a nice neighborhood bar. He said the <br />other tenants are supportive of their application. <br />William Kovak, 3125 Weymouth Court, stated he supports the application <br />of Messrs. Covey and Skinner and that they have been businessmen in <br />town for years. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner Doherty made a motion that the required findings as <br />enumerated as A through C on the staff report can be made and that case <br />UP-81-7 be approved subject to the conditions of the staff report. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey and Vice Chairperson <br />Getty <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Chairperson Wilson <br />Resolution No. 1993 was then entered and adopted approving case UP-81-7 <br />for Messrs. Covey and Skinner. <br />UP-81-8, Michael and Mar Dillon <br />Application of Mic ael and Mary Dillon for a conditional use permit <br />which would allow the retention of 12 rabbits at their residence located <br />at 5624 San Luis Court. The property is zoned R-1-6500 (Single-Family <br />Residential) District. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report and recommendation of approval. <br />Commissioner Lindsey reaffirmed that the Health Department found the <br />residence to be clean and relatively free of flies, etc. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Mike Dillon, the applicant spoke. He agreed with the staff report <br />except he would like to keep 12 cages instead of 8 because they raise <br />two types of rabbits. He said they need two bucks and three does in <br />five cages per breed and a holding cage for the babies for about 2-3 <br />months. He further said they have not increased the number of rabbits <br />they have in the last two years. <br />Commissioner Jamieson then talked to Mr. Dillon about flies and rabbit <br />droppings.
