ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Getty <br />Noes: None <br />Resolution No. 2026 was entered and adopted approving the negative <br />declaration for Case UP-81-12. <br />Commissioner Jamieson moved to approve UP-81-12 subject to six <br />conditions in the staff report and made findings a, b, and c. <br />Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, <br />Chairperson Getty <br />Noes: None <br />Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson, and <br />Resolution No. 2027 was entered and adopted approving Case UP-81-12. <br />PUD-81-12, Bri son/Renner <br />App ication o Wayne Briggson and P & M Development Company for Planned <br />Unit Development approval for an 8 acre site located on the east side <br />of Santa Rita Road approximately 250 feet north of Mohr Avenue and <br />for development plan approval for an approximately 63,000 sq. ft. <br />combination office building and carpenters' training center. Zoning <br />for the property is Planned Unit Development (Commercial and Offices) <br />District. A negative declaration of environmental impacts will also <br />be considered. <br />Mr. Harris reviewed the staff report concerning the design and use <br />of the proposed development. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Allen Renner, developer, 2280 Camino Brazos, elaborated on the use <br />of the building as a carpenter apprentice school and made a correction <br />to the staff report in that this school has no connection with the <br />carpenter's union and there will be no regional headquarters located <br />in Pleasanton. <br />Mr. Charles Dorner, 508 Burger Court, presented more detailed <br />information regarding the school. It is sponsored by Chabot College, <br />who will also be conducting classes there in the evening. The train- <br />ing is mostly indoors and deals with manipulative skills. Any struc- <br />tures necessary to be build outside would be removed the same day and <br />no power tools would be used. <br />Commissioner Doherty asked if any other locations had been investi- <br />gated and Mr. Dorner indicated they had looked for two years in the <br />area. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />-12- <br />
