Mr. Harris explained the staff report recommending prezoning to the <br />Agriculture District. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />No one addressed the Commission and the public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner <br />Wilson that the negative declaration prepared for case RZ-81-11 be <br />recommended for approval as approval of the prezoning would have no <br />significant adverse effects on the environment. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Getty <br />Noes: None <br />Resolution No. 2042 was then entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of the negative declaration prepared for case RZ-81-11. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Wilson, seconded by Commissioner Lindsey, <br />that case RZ-81-11 be recommended for approval subject to the staff report <br />dated 8/12/81 and that the property be prezoned A (Agricultural) District. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Getty <br />Noes: None <br />Resolution No. 2043 was then entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of case RZ-81-11. <br />UP-79-O1, Alberta Barrious <br />Application of Alberta Barrious to modify the current conditional use <br />permit to allow for an increase from 15 to 20 children which would be <br />permitted at the existing child care facility, located at 932 Riesling <br />Drive. The property is zoned R-1-6500 (Single-Family Residential) <br />District. <br />Mr. Harris explained the staff report. <br />Commissioner Wilson asked about the employment of two aides. Mr. Harris <br />stated this is a state requirement. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Alberta Barrious, 932 Riesling Drive, addressed the Board. Chairperson <br />Getty asked Mrs. Barrious if she concurs with the staff report and <br />Mrs. Barrious indicated she does. She presented another letter from one <br />of her neighbors supporting her application. Mrs. Barrious explained <br />that she has had to take additional schooling and meet additional <br />criteria set out by the county and state to qualify her for 20 children <br />and that the state/county has no license for 15; it is either 12 or 20 <br />and she is the first to ever get a state/county license for that many <br />children in a residence. <br />-7- <br /> <br />
