The public hearing was closed.
Commissioners Doherty, Lindsey and Getty discussed the terrain and
density. Mr. Harris said he had concerns with density especially after
seeing the Morrison project on Black and Hopyard completed -- the
project appears too crowded.
Commissioner Jamieson asked about municipal bonding with regard to the
project. Mr. James R. Walker, City Manager, gave a brief report on this
matter and stated that the bond market looks bad right now. He said the
City is getting prepared for November hoping that the situation will
get better but that builders need to come up with one-half million
dollars for up front costs and this is a tough thing to accomplish.
A motion was made by Commissioner Jamieson, seconded by Commissioner
Doherty that case PUD-81-20 would have no significant adverse effects
on the environment and that the negative declaration prepared for this
project be recommended for approval.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey and Chairperson Getty
Noes: None
Absent: Commissioner Wilson
Resolution No. 2068 was then entered and adopted recommending approval
of the negative declaration prepared for case PUD-81-20.
A motion was then made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner
Doherty, that case PUD-81-20 be recommended for approval subject to the
conditions shown in the staff report to the Commission dated September 16,
1981.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey and Chairperson Getty
Noes: None
Absent: Commissioner Wilson
Resolution No. 2069 was then entered and adopted recommending approval
of case PUD-81-20 as motioned.
Z-81-78, City of Pleasanton
Application of the City of Pleasanton for design review approval to
allow for the development of the City police facility to be located at
the Civic Center complex, 200 Bernal Avenue. The property is zoned
P (Public and Institutional) C-O (Civic Overlay) District.
Mr. Harris presented the staff report.
The public hearing was opened.
Hugh Anton, 90 Mission Drive, Pleasanton (of J. Jack Bras' office),
stated they concur with the staff report.
Commissioner Jamieson asked if these plans have been reviewed with the
Police Department. Mr. Anton stated they have.
