Chairperson Getty asked if the proposed size would take care of the <br />City's needs ten years down the road. Mr. Harris stated it depends <br />on who you ask. <br />Him Walker stated that the facility should be large enough for ten years <br />and that it is larger now than when the project first started. He <br />said the City has to have a police facility. He then said financing <br />is needed now and the City is trying to get the plans ready. <br />Commissioner Lindsey asked if there is a definite starting time. <br />Mr. Walker said funds should be coming from projects such as Fromm, <br />CPS, Prudential, etc., and that none of them are yet at the point <br />where they have to come up with the money. <br />Commissioner Jamieson asked if the interior of the proposed building <br />would have partition type walls which could be rearranged or whether <br />they would have fixed walls. Mr. Anton stated this hasn't yet been <br />discussed. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner <br />Doherty, that case Z-81-78 be recommended for approval subject to the <br />conditions shown in the staff report of 9/16/81. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey and Chairperson Getty <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Commissioner Wilson <br />Resolution No. 2070 was then entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of case Z-81-78 as motioned. <br />UP-81-18, Cit of Pleasanton <br />Application o tFie Cit~ Pleasanton for a conditional use permit to <br />allow for development of a City police facility to be located at the <br />Civic Center complex, 200 Bernal Avenue. The property is zoned <br />P (Public and Institutional) C-O (Civic Overlay) District. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />No one addressed the Commission. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Doherty, seconded by Commissioner <br />Lindsey, that the negative declaration prepared for case UP-81-18 be <br />approved because approval of this case would have no significant adverse <br />effect on the environment. <br />_ __ <br />_. ~r_._ ... ._. <br />
