The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner <br />Jamieson, that the negative declaration prepared for case UP-81-29 <br />be adopted as approval of this project would have no significant <br />adverse effect on the environment. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Getty <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Resolution No. 2083 was then entered and adopted approving the <br />negative declaration prepared for case UP-81-29 as motioned. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Wilson, seconded by Commissioner <br />Jamieson, that all required findings necessary to grant this use permit <br />are made (enumerated on the staff report 10/28/81) and that case <br />UP-81-29 be approved per the conditions of the staff report adding <br />condition #15 "That Pico Avenue shall be completely paved from <br />First Street to Windmill Way prior to the opening of the models." <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Getty <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Resolution No. 2084 was then entered and adopted approving case <br />UP-81-29 as motioned. <br />UP-81-30, Robert A. Atkins <br />App ication of Robert A. Atkins for a conditional use permit to allow <br />the operation of an 11,850 sq. ft. feed store, nursery, garden supply <br />and saddlery facility on a 42,500 sq. ft. site located at the <br />northwest corner of Del Valle Parkway and Wyoming Street. The pro- <br />perty is zoned C-S (Commercial Services) District. A negative <br />declaration of environmental impacts was also considered. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Commissioner Jamieson inquired about the building being constructed <br />out of metal and referred to discussion of a metal roof when <br />Dr. Young's building was considered for approval. <br />Mr. Harris explained that the staff has no objection to metal roofs <br />and that several buildings with metal roofs have been recommended <br />for approval. <br />-9- <br />__ _ <br />
