A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner <br />Jamieson that case GP-81-5 be recommended for denial. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Getty <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Resolution No. 2088 was then entered and adopted recommending denial of <br />case GP-81-5 as motioned. <br />The applicant was then advised that this matter would automatically be <br />referred to City Council. <br />PUD-81-23, Thomas J. Orloff <br />Application of Thomas J. Orloff for development plan approval and <br />PUD-High Density Residential zoning which would allow the construction <br />of 150 apartment units and 24 condominium units on a 9.31 acre site <br />located on the south side of Valley Avenue immediately west of <br />Safeway shopping center, north of Amador park and east of the <br />single-family residential lots fronting on Brooktree Way. The <br />property is currently zoned A (Agricultural) District. A negative <br />declaration of environmental impacts will also be considered. <br />This matter was continued to 11/18/81, 8:00 p.m., Alameda County <br />Fairgrounds cafeteria. <br />GP-81-6, Stoneson Development Company <br />Application of Stoneson Development Company for a general plan amend- <br />ment to change the land use designation of an approximately 616 acre <br />site located on Stonedale Drive, between Stoneridge Drive on the <br />north and I-680 on the east from Freeway Interchange and Open Space <br />(Public Health and Safety) to High Density Residential or to any <br />other land use designation found appropriate by the City. A negative <br />declaration of environmental impacts will also be considered. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report. He stated that Caltrans <br />is considering an on-ramp only and there will be no cloverleaf <br />in this area. He stated that the noise and air quality will have <br />to be looked at from a design standpoint. <br />Commissioner Getty asked when the ramp is supposed to be done. <br />Mr. Warnick stated it would be completed about 1985. <br />Traffic was discussed by Commissioner Wilson, Commissioner Jamieson <br />and the staff. Mr. Warnick stated that Caltrans is now putting in <br />two loop rather than four-loop ramps. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />-12- <br />
