A motion was then made by Commissioner Jamieson, seconded by Com-
missioner Lindsey, that case PUD-81-25 be recommended for approval
subject to the conditions shown in the staff report adding "0" to
the conditionally allowed uses as requested by the applicant.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson .and
Chairperson Getty
Noes: None
Absent: None
Abstain: None
Resolution No. 2099 was then entered and adopted recommending approval
of case PUD-81-25 as motioned.
PUD-81-22, Daon Corporation
Application of Daon Corporation and Stoneson Development Corporation
to rezone from PUD-High Density Residential District to the Planned
Unit Development-Commercial, Offices, High Density Residential and
Open Space District (including a 5 acre park) and for development
plan approval for an office/commercial/residential development
containing approximately 1,430,000 sq. ft. of office/commercial
structures, a 300 unit hotel and 347 multi-family dwelling units
on the 91.5 acre site in the area bounded by Stoneridge Drive,
Stoneridge Mall Road and Interstate Highways 580 and 680. A
negative declaration of environmental impacts will also be consi-
dered.
This matter was continued to an adjourned special meeting for a work
session on December 1, 1981, 7:00 p.m., Alameda County Fairgrounds.
MATTERS FOR COMMI88IDN'S REVIEW
Parking Options for the Central Business District (CBD)
Chairperson Joyce Getty stepped down removing herself from any con-
versation concerning this matter.
Mr. Harris reported that the staff report is not a complete study but
rather offers some alternatives for the Commission to consider in
perhaps changing the ordinance in the downtown area concerning
parking. He said staff feels No. 1 would be a pretty good way to
go.
Commissioner Doherty asked if No. 1 were adopted that it would cover
such people as the Gay 90's when they asked to put additional seats
outside for summer use. Mr. Harris said yes.
Mr. Harris stated that La Rochelle asked for a major variance sometime
ago for parking and were turned down. Commissioner Wilson said they,
however, subsequently became part of the parking assessment district.
-8-
