A motion was then made by Commissioner Jamieson, seconded by Com- <br />missioner Lindsey, that case PUD-81-25 be recommended for approval <br />subject to the conditions shown in the staff report adding "0" to <br />the conditionally allowed uses as requested by the applicant. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson .and <br />Chairperson Getty <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Resolution No. 2099 was then entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of case PUD-81-25 as motioned. <br />PUD-81-22, Daon Corporation <br />Application of Daon Corporation and Stoneson Development Corporation <br />to rezone from PUD-High Density Residential District to the Planned <br />Unit Development-Commercial, Offices, High Density Residential and <br />Open Space District (including a 5 acre park) and for development <br />plan approval for an office/commercial/residential development <br />containing approximately 1,430,000 sq. ft. of office/commercial <br />structures, a 300 unit hotel and 347 multi-family dwelling units <br />on the 91.5 acre site in the area bounded by Stoneridge Drive, <br />Stoneridge Mall Road and Interstate Highways 580 and 680. A <br />negative declaration of environmental impacts will also be consi- <br />dered. <br />This matter was continued to an adjourned special meeting for a work <br />session on December 1, 1981, 7:00 p.m., Alameda County Fairgrounds. <br />MATTERS FOR COMMI88IDN'S REVIEW <br />Parking Options for the Central Business District (CBD) <br />Chairperson Joyce Getty stepped down removing herself from any con- <br />versation concerning this matter. <br />Mr. Harris reported that the staff report is not a complete study but <br />rather offers some alternatives for the Commission to consider in <br />perhaps changing the ordinance in the downtown area concerning <br />parking. He said staff feels No. 1 would be a pretty good way to <br />go. <br />Commissioner Doherty asked if No. 1 were adopted that it would cover <br />such people as the Gay 90's when they asked to put additional seats <br />outside for summer use. Mr. Harris said yes. <br />Mr. Harris stated that La Rochelle asked for a major variance sometime <br />ago for parking and were turned down.
