Mr. Harris suggested that perhaps the Planning Commission might
want to act on the proposed prezoning necessary to accommodate the
annexation and then later make a recommendation that the General
Plan land use be changed for the area if that is their wish.
Commissioner Doherty explained that with the General Plan unchanged,
there is nothing to stop a property owner in the area from coming in
and applying for a rezoning for smaller lots and that it would be
his suggestion that a General Plan land use designation change be
made changing the General Plan which would lock in a 20,000 sq. ft.
lot minimum and preclude anyone from applying for smaller size
lots through rezoning.
A motion was then made by Commissioner Jamieson, seconded by
Commissioner Doherty that the negative declaration prepared for
case RZ-81-17 be recommended for approval inasmuch as this project
would have no significant adverse effect on the environment.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson and
Chairperson Getty
Noes: None
Absent: None
Abstain: None
Resolution 2092 was then entered and adopted recommending approval of
the negative declaration prepared for case RZ-81-17 as motioned.
A motion was then made by Commissioner Doherty, seconded by Commissioner
Wilson that the subject property be prezoned to the R-1-20,000 (Single-
Family Residential) District.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson and
Chairperson Getty
Noes: None
Absent: None
Abstain: None
Resolution No. 2093 was then entered and adopted recommending R-1-20,000
prezoning of property for case RZ-81-17 as motioned.
A motion was then made by Commissioner Doherty, seconded by Com-
missioner Wilson that lots 2-l, 2-2, 2-3, 2-4, 2-5, 2-6, 30, 31,
32, 10-9, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 10-10 be the subject of a General
Plan amendment application to Low Density Residential.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson and
Chairperson Getty
Noes : None
Absent: None
Abstain: None
-4-
_ _ . . r...,.. __~_ _.. _ . __
