Page 7
Minutes
Planning Commission
Commissioner Wilson indicated that a traffic study will have to be
done for development and that Low Density Residential, which is
two units per acre, wouldn't create too much traffic anyway.
Mr. Milne said that perhaps the sewer, storm drains and streets
have been done but they feel that a logical entrance and exit
would be Pico and traffic on Mission and Junipero is such that
any increase done now would make the street a major thoroughfare
that they don't believe that it was set up to begin with.
The public hearing was closed.
Commissioner Doherty said that development o~ half-acre lots
would probably call for improvements in the area.
Mr. Harris reminded the Commission that the prezoning covers the
total of 250 acres not just the front 50 but that 200 acres will
still remain in the Williamson Act.
A motion was made by Commissioner Jamieson, seconded by Commissioner
Doherty that the negative declaration prepared for case RZ-81-23
be adopted as the prezoning application for this property would
not cause a significant adverse environmental effect.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes
Noes
Absent
Abstain
Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Wilson
and Chairperson Getty
None
Commissioner Lindsey
None
Resolution No. 2101 was then entered and adopted recommending
the negative declaration prepared for case RZ-81-23 be approved.
A motion was then made by Commissioner Wilson, .seconded by
Commissioner Doherty that case RZ-81-23 be recommended for approval.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes Commissioners Doherty, Wilson, Jamieson
and Chairperson Getty
Noes None
Absent Commissioner Lindsey
Abstain None
Resolution No. 2102 was then entered and adopted recommending
approval of case RZ-81-23 as motioned.
RZ-81-24, City of Pleasanton
Application o t e City o Pleasanton to prezone two parcels
totalling 14.5 acres in the vicinity of 2820 Vineyard Avenue
(eastern terminus of Chardonnay Drive) to the PUD (Planned Unit
Development) Low Density Residential, .Medium Density Residential
District or to any other district consistent with the General Plan.
