Commissioner Wilson then addressed
Item 7 of the Negative Declaration ,and that Valley Avenue
extension would be a large financial burden.
Commissioner Wilson then asked the applicant if he wanted the
matter to go to a vote or did he wish to continue meeting with
the concerned neighbors, Mr. Martin responded that they have put
forth every effort to come to agre ment with the citizens and
asked for a vote. Mr. Martin said when they bought the property
they spent time with City Council nd were told the concept for a
two axle truck related to the rear~',of the truck and they are now
getting tenants in the park who need bobtails, etc, and this is a
very vague issue which needs redefijning and/or clarification,
Commissioner Jamieson said that whin this project came before the
City (Caroline) that he thought it 'was made very clear that light
vehicles (trucks) only would be alJaowed, He said he sympathizes
with the property owners and wouldllike the matter left open for
conference amongst the developers a,'nd property owners,
Commissioner Doherty was disappointied that there are still people
in the Jensen tract who have suffered a lack of communication.
He said he has less concern with the people of Pleasanton Meadows
because the Jensen tract immediately abuts the development. He
would urge the developers to confer with the neighbors and have
the matter continued,
Commissioner Wilson had no problemwith the sound wall and height
of the building but does have a prolblem with two axle trucks
coming into the downtown area, He can't see changing any
condition until El Charro is resolved. He addressed the weight
allowed for trucks.
Commissioner Jamieson asked that if 40,000# were allowed on
Valley Avenue, would it give carte blanche to all others. Mr,
Harris stated it would put Valley Blusiness Park on equal footing
with the other businesses in the City.
Chairperson Lindsey said he agrees 1Valley Business Park should
be put on equal footing but stated they will be creating more
trips than other businesses,
