PLANNING COMMISSION 4/13/83
Page 3
Commissioner Wilson asked Mr. Harris if he agreed with his motion
and asked if it would put a burden on his staff. A4r. Harris
indicated he felt it reasonable to allow him to have two additional
night or weekend auctions.
Commissioner Jamieson then seconded the motion.
Mr. Harris indicated that the City Attorney's office has requested
that this additional condition be made subject to the October 1983
review of this use. The Commission concurred.
Commissioner Doherty asked if the review in October is in lieu of
the applicant having to go to the City staff to get each individual
auction approved. Commissioner Wilson indicated that this is his
intent in making the motion.
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Jamieson, Wilson
and Chairperson Lindsey
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2288 was entered and adopted allowing Mr. Kinney
two additional auctions per month -- to be held in the evening or
Saturdays or Sundays.
REVISIONS OR OPQISSIONS TO THE AGENDA
Mr. Harris indicated that there are three changes, i.e, at the request
of the City Attorney case GP-83-1 be continued indefinitely;
at the request of the applicant staff asked that MS-82-4, T^7illiam Yee,
be continued to 5/11/83; and 7c, an added item, revision to case
PUD-83-3, Meadow Plaza Associates be continued. The City Council
considered this matter 4/12/83 and they took no action on the matter
because they want the hearing to be advertised. He, therefore,
suggest that it be considered on 4/27/83 after proper advertising.
MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS
Joyce Getty stated that on Santa Rita Road near the Fire Station
and Harris condominiums there are an awful lot of cars being parked.
She asked if they belong to the tenants or are they from people
sharing rides. Mr. Harris indicated he was not aware of the
situation and did not know. He indicated there is a ride sharing
area up the street near the freeway. Commissioner Getty suggested
this matter be checked out.
Commissioner Getty indicated also that at the Southern Pacific Depot
Bishop Hawk has an abnormally large sign advertising the future
restaurant. Mr. Harris indicated that he would check this matter out.
Commissioner Jamieson indicated the sign on the old Texaco station
down on Sunol looks rather large. Mr. Harris indicated he hasn't
had time to go by there yet, but would do so.
