PLANNING COMMISSION
Page 14
4/13/83
Joe Callahan, Callahan-Pentz Properties, addressed the construction
of the wall. He indicated the wall would be staggered and they
will be installing a variety of trees in those pockets and are
also setting up landscape irrigation. He presented a diagram which
was posted for all to see.
Commissioner Doherty had no doubt that the developer would do
a good job, but he did want consideration to be given to the
massive walls on a main street leading into the City. Mr. Callahan
stated their objective is to get the soundwall installed as quickly
as they possibly can before starting any of the public improvements
so that to the largest extent possible mitigate the irritation to
the residents.
Commissioner Getty made a motion to recommend to the City Council
that the Planning Commission endorses the soundwall proposed for
Santa Rita Road as presented.
